SMB TECHNICS and SANLAB have entered into a cooperation for the development of domestic industrial servo motors and drives for motion platform technologies.
An important cooperation in simulation technology: SANLAB, one of Türkiye's leading technology companies, has decided to use domestic technology in the 6DOF motion platforms it develops for simulation, automotive and training applications. To this end, a strategic memorandum was signed between SANLAB and SMB TECHNICS, the brand of AKIM METAL, a producer of domestic industrial automation solutions. The agreement provides for domestic industrial servo motors and servo drives to be used in the 6DOF motion platforms developed by SANLAB.
SANLAB founder Salih Kükrek emphasised the importance of domestic technology and production, and stated that they want to meet Türkiye's needs in the automotive industry and in education with domestic and national solutions. He also said that thanks to this cooperation Türkiye would reach a more competitive position in the field of industrial automation.
Ali Fazıl Böyet, Deputy General Manager of Akım Metal, said that it was a source of pride that the domestic industrial servo motors and drives they produce themselves would be used in high-technology 6DOF motion platforms.
With the integration of domestic industrial servo motors and drives into 6DOF motion platforms, our country's technological independence in simulation and education will be strengthened and dependence on foreign suppliers will fall.
This cooperation adds strong synergy to the Turkish engineering and technology sector, and has been recorded as one of the important steps supporting Türkiye's technological advances.
