SMB CNC lathes are built at Akım Metal's Tuzla/İstanbul plant on more than 50 years of machining experience; single- and twin-turret, C-axis and Y-axis configurations share one machine family. The R&D Centre founded in 2011 was named the best R&D Centre of the Machinery and Equipment sector in the Ministry's 2015 evaluation; production runs under ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certified processes, with US and EU offices for global support.
